Prague, the capital city of the Czech republik, ist named the "heart of Europe". The town in the northwest part of the country in the region Bohemia extends about 500 square kilometres and has approximately 1.250.000 inhabitants. Prague is an exceptional beautiful town. The gorgeous architecture reflects the rich yesterdays in the heart of Europe. Millions of tourists are enthusiastically of this town.
Besides classic music and operas - you can find them at several places in the town - every year in may and june the spring gala of Prague takes place. The Prague jazz gala in october is attended by musicians from all over the world. Moreover you can find in Prague a bouncy scene of jazz-, rock- and popmusic in clubs and bars. On the Karlsbridge and on the streets there are all kinds of musicians, who demonstrates their art. This scene is also the root of the folk-group SPRINGTIME.

Prague is divided in two parts by the river Moldau. Round the Moldau and its affluent Berounka is one of the grandiosest country sides of the Czech Republik. From Prague you can attain easily mountains and hills, lakes and forests. 16 bridges cross the river in the capital city. In the town there are the famous "100 church steeple" (in reality exists signifying more than 100 steeples).
